SSF Conference Agenda - Saturday 16th May, 2026

The Siegfried Sassoon Fellowship Conference is an annual gathering which promotes the life and work of Siegfried Sassoon, one of the most important soldier-poets of World War I.

Each year, the conference brings together scholars, historians, writers and members of the public interested in literature and history.

The conference matters today more than ever, as a means of understanding war and its human cost. Some of the themes in Sassoon’s work - loss, propaganda, nationalism, mental health - still echo strongly in today’s global landscape.

See the attached PDF for a programme of events and a list of this year’s excellent speakers.
