The next SSF face-to-face meeting will be on Saturday 14 November at the Royal Victoria Country Park at Netley, Southampton. Our guest speaker will be writer Philip Hoare, whose revised biography of Stephen Tennant will be published shortly. The Royal Victoria Hospital was built to care for soldiers returning from the Crimean War. During the First World War, Wilfred Owen was a patient before being transferred to Craiglockhart. The building was demolished in the 1960s. Today only the Chapel remains. A programme for the day is under development and full details will be published once arrangements are finalised.
